CHAPTER 7 SONG 5 ONENESS - THE POWER OF ONE
The Holy Eucharist
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of
your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who
is above all, and through all, and in you all Eph.4:4-6.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it,
and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he
took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink you all of
it; 28 For this is the blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for
the remission of sins. 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of
this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my
Father’s kingdom Matt.26:26-29.
And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover
with you before I suffer: 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat
thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup,
and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 For I
say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God
shall come.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them,
saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in
my blood, which is shed for you Luke 22:15-20.
And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and
blessed it, and broke, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and
they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to
another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way,
and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found
the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, 34 Saying, The Lord
is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon. 35 And they told what things were
done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread Luke
24:34-35.
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship,
and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 46 And they, continuing daily with
one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their
meat with gladness and singleness of heart Acts 2:42.46.
What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me? 13 I
will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD Psalm
116:12-13.
The Bread of Life
Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave
you not that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from
heaven. 38 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven, and gives
life unto the world Jn.6:32-33.
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me
shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst Jn.6.35. I am
the bread of life. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a
man may eat thereof, and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from
heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that
I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world Jn.6:48-51.
Whoso eat my flesh, and drink my blood, has eternal life; and I will
raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is
drink indeed. 56 He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and
I in him. 57 As the living Father has sent me, and I live in the Father: so he
that eats me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from
heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this
bread shall live forever Jn.6:54-58.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give
us this day our daily bread Matt.6:10-11. And when he had taken the five loaves
and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and broke the loaves,
and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided
he among them all. 42 And they did all eat, and were filled Mark 6:41-42.
The Body of Christ
And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one,
even as we are one Jn.17:22.
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood
of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that
one bread 1Cor.10:16-17.
For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of
that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For by one
Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles,
whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit
1Cor.12:12-13. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the
Father Eph.2:18.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the
beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the
pre-eminence Col.1:18. And has put all things under his feet, and gave him to
be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fullness
of him that fills all in all Eph.1:22-23.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of
the church: and he is the saviour of the body Eph.5:23.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the
same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and everyone members
one of another Rms.12:4-5. And God has both raise up the Lord, and will also
raise up us by his own power. 15 Know you not that your bodies are the members
of Christ? 1Cor.6:14-15. Now you are the body of Christ, and members in
particular 1Cor.12:27. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his
bones Eph. 5:30.
The Temple
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three
days I will raise it up. 21 But he spoke of the temple of his body. 22 When
therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said
this unto them, and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had
said Jn.2:19.21.
But he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 19 What? Know you not
that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost who is in you, who you have of
God, and you are not your own? 20 For you are bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s 1Cor.6:17-20.
Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwells in you? 1Cor.3:16. For you are the temple of the living God; as God has
said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they
shall be my people 2Cor. 6b:16.
You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ
1Peter 2:5. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building
fitly framed together grows unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom you
also are built together for an habitation of God through the Spirit
Eph.2:20-22.
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and
some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the
saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son
of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of
Christ Eph.4:11-13.
The Blood of Christ
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace Eph.1:7.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being
justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to
declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the
forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness; that
he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus Rms.3:23-26.
And having made peace through the blood of his cross by him to reconcile
all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or
things in heaven. 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your
mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh
through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his
sight Col.1:20-22.
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and
to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and have redeemed us to God by
thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And have
made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth Rev.5:9-10.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death Rev.12:10-11.

But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we
shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were
reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we
shall be saved by his life Rms.5:8-10. https://youtu.be/chY3cc_yCSY
