2014 OPERATION KUBERNESIS – SONS AT THE HELM
This year has been declared by Dr Shawn Smith of Gospel of Christ Ministries as the year of operation Kubernesis which is Operation Sons at the Helm. This means that the sons of God, being the heirs of the world, have been given the responsibility of taking care of the world. Jesus Christ is the heir of the world for he is the seed of Abraham to whom God gave the world. Now that we are in Christ, we partake of everything that is his and so we are the heirs of the world. The world is the planet, its systems, its resources, its inhabitants, its organization, institutions, everything that is found in creation.
The gospel says creation is waiting and groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God on the earth so that they might liberate it from bondage, corruption and vanity. Creation was subjected to vanity not of its own accord but by the will of the one who subjected it in hope. If the things in the world are not serving their purpose, it’s not because they want it so but they were forced into servitude at the fall of man. But now that the Son of God has redeemed man, we are free but creation is still in bondage by the fact that it is not yet serving the purpose of Christ. That is the reason why there is evil in the world. The flaw is not in the world, its systems, resources, banks, governments, institutions, inhabitants; the flaw is in the way they have been directed to act so that instead of serving the good cause, they serve the evil. The purpose of the inhabitants of our planet was never to fight each other; the purpose of governments or politics was never to create wars; the purpose of industrial development was never to pollute the earth and provoke catastrophes which harmed people. Creation is not willing to serve the cause of evil and it is groaning because it is not fulfilling its purpose of existence.
That’s where we the sons of God come in; we the heirs of the world in Christ. What is the purpose of possessing the world? It is to remove it from harm, from evil, to take care of it, to tend it and give it the purpose of its existence. Each and every one of us has a world in which we belong; it’s there we are to operate and remove everything we find which is not serving the purpose of Christ. We give it purpose by removing it from evil and make it enter into our glorious freedom. This is not the time to complain about ourselves, whether our projects are working or not; it’s not the time to cry when we may ponder upon ourselves and maybe see the miserable conditions of our lives. We are now responsible and just as parents who care for their children, we too are called this year to be responsible towards creation for it is our inheritance and it is groaning and only we can save it by virtue of the fact that we have been saved in Christ Jesus.
The time of maturity has come through this mission that has put us at the helm of our world so that we are seen by all and we cannot show any form of weakness by pondering over ourselves. For in truth, we are the heirs of the world and all things are ours presently and tomorrow has nothing in store for us for we are in Christ, in whom is the fullness of God bodily. And whatever we may consider as our dreams is nothing compared to what Christ wants to bring to the world. His dream surpasses ours by far for even after our dreams were fulfilled, we realized they were not the ultimate.
The ultimate is the dream of the Father; the mystery which he has revealed to us by His Spirit that in the fullness of the dispensation of time, he may gather all things in heaven and on earth under one head, even Christ Jesus. As long as there is anything in the world that is not subject to the lordship of the man Christ Jesus, it has not yet fulfilled its purpose. And the sons of God have risen up on the earth to remove it from harm, to take care of it like a mother takes care of her child and give it its purpose of existence by bringing it under the lordship of Jesus Christ so that it produces good everywhere, every time and for everybody.
Sons of God, we’re not to stay back this year. There is a prophecy concerning my country which consists of a massive conversion of people to Christ and I know it is the same for your country. This is the rising of the glorious church; the perfection of Jesus Christ shall be seen in our lives according to the words of the man of God. It is not forever that people shall be denied; it’s not because the evil has persisted that it shall be perpetuated for ever. We remove the evil from our worlds and we introduce them to their purpose of existence by their entry into our glorious freedom.
We are free because we were chosen by grace to confess the lordship of Jesus over our lives; that’s where the freedom of man lies and the freedom of creation is it coming under the lordship of Jesus, its creator and heir. We shall not complain even if things appear to us otherwise for we know that as He is so are in this world. We will not trust in what our eyes see but in Him whom we believe and who has said that all things are ours presently, though they may appear otherwise. For the truth is that we are the heirs of the world and that’s how our walk, our talk, our thoughts and our confession shall be throughout this year that the Father has placed his sons at the helm of our worlds.

CREATION NOT EVOLUTION BUT ENGENDERING
God created every species with a specific nature of its own. Through its seed, the species reproduces after its kind. God didn't have to create many men; he created only one man and from him came 7 billion men. There is no alteration. Every specie reproduces after its kind. Pay attention to these statements.
1. The nature of a thing is derived from the life of the thing.
2. Every nature produces according to its nature - kind begets kind.
3. The prototype of a nature becomes the source of its kind.
4. The nature of a given thing cannot exceed its prototype in quality.
5. Every nature possesses a predetermined expression.
6. To understand the predetermined nature, you must examine the source from which the seed derived.
Neither creation nor evolution is of importance but engendering. God created man so that man might become son of God. To possess the nature of a kind, his seed must indwell you. That is how God begets His children; by placing Jesus Christ, His seed, in man so that man may posses the nature of God.
WHO AM I, WHERE DO I COME FROM, WHAT IS THE REASON FOR ME?
Who is man, why does he exist? Before you ask these questions, you must go to what preexisted creation. What preexisted creation is God. The reason why God created man was to place him in Christ so that Christ might be His only life. Man was created without a nature of his own. There's no human nature. There is only the sin nature and the God nature.
Man was created to partake of another nature, the nature of God. The first man used his freedom to partake of a foreign nature - sin, which he wasn’t predetermined for. That’s what caused the fall of the human race. God uses the one man principle. When Adam fell, all men fell because all men were present in his loins at his fall. When Adam partook of the sin nature, that nature was transmitted to his offspring through his seed.
There are only two men on earth; Adam and Christ. Jesus Christ is son of God and possesses the nature of God. The process whereby man acquires the nature of God is by being born of God; man could not be a legitimate son of God if God’s seed does not abide in him. Jesus Christ is that only Seed that came out of God’s loins. The process by which man is born by God is when Jesus Christ, the Prototype Son of God and the only Seed of God, comes and dwells in man and automatically makes a man a begotten son of God.
By His death on the cross, Jesus put an end to the first man, Adam and He came in to dwell in man as his only life. Those who are in Christ are no more in Adam. You can’t be in both at the same time. Either you are an Adam or you are a Christ. And this excludes any performance on your part. Naturally, every man is born a sinner because the sin nature was transferred to him by his biological father. Spiritually, Man is born righteous because the righteousness of the Son God is transferred to him through Jesus Christ.
Man was created to be indwelt by God and become the son of God in Jesus Christ. This is the answer, this is the reason. This is our destiny.

THE REASON FOR MAN
We are thankful to God for the remission of sins but this was not the primary reason why Christ came as a man. The main reason why Jesus Christ became a man was to make us sons of God. That was God’s intention before the beginning of creation. He wanted to give birth to His own children. The only means through which God could give birth to His children was to place His seed, Jesus Christ, in them. Even if Adam didn’t sin, Jesus Christ would have come because Adam was not God’s ultimate intention. Adam was created not born by God. A man born of God possesses the same nature as God just as a man born of a man possesses the nature of a man. The same degree to which Jesus Christ partook of humanity is the same degree to which the believer in Christ partakes of divinity.

ANOTHER DIMENSION
With all boldness, Noah, Alan, Ryan and Zach embark on a risky journey to space which turns out to be the fulfillment of their dreams. Guided by faith, they are taken to a world which is the answer to their quest. Dreams do come true if you believe, hope and love with all heart.
OPEN THE FRONTIERS
Open the frontiers. Globalization should not only function in terms of market but much more in terms of movement and interaction among people. They talk of a global village – open the frontiers instead so people can move freely around the world. The worst thing is that restriction of movement is placed only on certain people and not on others. What discrimination!
The West has failed the East (the third world). After plundering their wealth, they left them crippled with poverty and misery. And they close their doors. So one part of the earth lives in luxury and another part in poverty. And they don’t want the East to complain: forgive and forget.
We have forgiven but tell me how we can forget when every day we see the consequences of that robbery. How can we, when we see the tragedy in our streets and the comedy in their domains? Every child grows up watching TV and at a certain time, asks themselves: “Why is my world not like theirs?” The resentment is rebuilt each time every generation goes back to history and finds out that their predicament is the result of imperialism - the plunder of their land from the past up to the present by the west.
Today while the east is only waiting for a saviour, the west, trying to uplift all responsibilities from its shoulders, tells them that they must count on no one but build their nation themselves. When one of our kind became leader of the world, we thought he would save us. But he disappointed and we learned from that time not to trust in any man.
How can we build the nation when the economy is still in the hands of the West? The west continues to grab everything from the east through their multinationals. They don’t let anything go. The west doesn’t want to trade its technologies with the east. My people are reduced to the state of beggars all their lives. They take 100 millions from you and give you back 10 millions and you bow to them. And upon all this, they close their doors so we can’t get to their beautiful land. If we had done the same in the years of exploration, where would they have gotten their wealth?
As for us, after waiting for a long time for the west to save us, we came to realize that they weren’t our saviour. Neither is their leader, who is one of us. We have realized that there is only one saviour for us – Jesus Christ. He alone can restore us. We are so tired; for all our labour to build the nation has been in vain. We wake up early every morning and work hard all day and the wealth of our hands goes to the multinationals. What? We’re in a bad situation.
Why should they be feasting when we’re starving? And they show it all through the window. And the dream of every child in the east is to get to the west. But they shut their gates.
Only a saviour can remedy our situation. And we have found Him. Thus we wait on you Jesus. We believe that You’re the Saviour of the East, the Saviour of the world. You make no distinction among men for you honour your word in every man. We have believed that the Father sent the Son as Saviour of the world. Thank you for restoring the fallen, the broken, the poor, the sick and the sinner. You have saved the whole world and made us whole. Blessed be God who has blessed us with all blessings in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus our Lord.

THE LOVE OF A FATHER
The world is looking for a saviour and Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world. The world suspects God of what He can’t be. At the appearing of Jesus Christ, the Bible says that all people shall weep and mourn. Because at that moment, each and every one of us shall KNOW how much He has loved us and how much we have despised Him. Take God at His word when He says He loves you. If you do not believe, it doesn’t mean it isn’t so. How can you reply to someone who tells you he loves you that he was telling a lie?
Jesus Christ has been appointed, dedicated, set apart for saving man. Take a look at the world and see how man has failed to save it. Man has rejected his saviour and tries to do things on his own. If he could save himself, God wouldn’t have given him a saviour. God, who created man knows him more than he knows himself. There is no need to be proud and reject God’s salvation since you can't save yourself, not even the person you love. Jesus is the only name that has been given to men to be saved. How shall He save us if we don’t want to recognize Him as the one He says He is – the Saviour of the world?
Does modernism mean rejection of God? Let’s live a modern life with the knowledge of God. God is also for modernism, science and all that because He’s the One who’s given knowledge to man for breakthrough in technology.
I watch Naruto, bleach, One Piece and I believe in God. I live in a modern world and I believe in Jesus. I know that these things are accessories but Jesus alone is the reason for my life. If you are afraid to believe in Jesus because you think He’ll change your lifestyle, I tell you to trust Him and you’ll see how He works. You’ll never know if you don’t try.
As for me, I have put my trust in the love of God towards me. This is the truth I hold unto. I know that no matter how bad I might be, He still loves me. Instead of turning my back on Him because I’m bad, I instead trust in His love. And He says that I’m His righteousness in Christ Jesus. Check this out: the bad me has become righteous in Him.
Jesus Christ has been appointed, dedicated, set apart for saving man. Take a look at the world and see how man has failed to save it. Man has rejected his saviour and tries to do things on his own. If he could save himself, God wouldn’t have given him a saviour. God, who created man knows him more than he knows himself. There is no need to be proud and reject God’s salvation since you can't save yourself, not even the person you love. Jesus is the only name that has been given to men to be saved. How shall He save us if we don’t want to recognize Him as the one He says He is – the Saviour of the world?
Does modernism mean rejection of God? Let’s live a modern life with the knowledge of God. God is also for modernism, science and all that because He’s the One who’s given knowledge to man for breakthrough in technology.
I watch Naruto, bleach, One Piece and I believe in God. I live in a modern world and I believe in Jesus. I know that these things are accessories but Jesus alone is the reason for my life. If you are afraid to believe in Jesus because you think He’ll change your lifestyle, I tell you to trust Him and you’ll see how He works. You’ll never know if you don’t try.

WE HAVE PUT OUR TRUST IN THE LOVE OF GOD TOWARDS US
Why is it that some people are afraid when they hear about God? You can talk about anything in the world but talking about God is taboo. This attitude is unbelievable since it is by God that we live, move and have our being. Yet we don’t want him mentioned. This reaction derives from our ignorance about who God really is. God is for man and wants him alive. God is never against us. That has never crossed His mind. We shouldn’t suspect Him to be someone who watches to see us fall and say, ‘aha, aha.” It’s the devil who does that. The truth in the whole world is that God loves us and anything apart from that is a lie. There is no cause to suspect God for He is our Father who loves His children.
Maybe this reaction stems from the fact that we feel guilty before Him. We then try to remove Him out of our lives or go far away from Him because our conscience convicts us of sin and we know that God hates sin. Maybe we should stop looking at sin the way we used to do but see it as something God forgives. God forgives our sins and if we don’t sin, God won’t be able to forgive. If we run away from Him when we sin, how is He going to forgive us? The logic here is that instead of trying to hide from God when we sin, we should rather come to Him for forgiveness, else who’s going to forgive us? This is even a greater exploit because we would have trusted His word, that His love for us is greater than our sin. There are conflicts even in the family, but we’re so courageous to forgive others, how much more God?
And all what is above is the old way. The new way is that God has dealt with the issue of sin in Jesus Christ His son. He has forgiven us our every sin and does not count sin against us anymore. Sin occurs when one transgresses the law but since in the new covenant there is no law, then man cannot sin because there’s no law to transgress. But only for those who’ve confessed Jesus as Lord. That’s the righteousness He’s given all those who believe Him.
Don’t be alarmed when you hear about God. It’s not about religion or denomination. It’s about God who is in you. He’s the ONLY One who loves you. You have been in His plan from eternity. He created you. He feeds and protects you everyday. He watches over you. He has given the life of His Son for you. Generally, our earthly fathers love us and want our good. Welcome to my blog. I am Newmar and I live in Cameroon. I’m just like you and I’ve got a lot to share with you. Sorry the blog is not very rich, it’s only my debut. This site will be more equipped as time goes on. Why the creation of this blog?

When Living Becomes an Exploit talks about difficulties people find in living everyday life. It is a subjective analysis on people who find it hard to live. Sometimes, living can be just so hard. My days haven’t always been bright. Yet for a year and a month, I had a really hard time when I traveled to Europe. I had often felt bad in the past but never that way. It wasn’t that place but it was me who was totally out of place there. You will find what I mean if you read the article.
I wrote this article especially for those who might be thinking suicide. I had thought about it myself but after a few years, I found something. I have been where you might be right now. I know I have no right to tell you anything. Who am I to try to tell you anything about your situation? I don’t know anything about it. But since you are here, why not try and read this article! Is there no Dignity in Failure?
Not that I am here trying to promote failure but rather to make some people understand that they don’t have to scare others by placing their high hopes on them. Sometimes they expect so much from you so that you are scared to death when you think of disappointing them. It’s not that you want to disappoint, it’s only that you can’t fulfill their expectations. I am for success. No human being can be otherwise minded since it’s in our nature to get the best for ourselves. But what happens if you haven’t succeeded the way they mean 'succeeded'?
The Dutch Team & Me
Now if you are a football fan, I mean soccer fan, of Oranje, the Dutch national football team; if you would like to know what happens to people when they become sports fans; if you care to know what happened to me when I supported the Dutch national football team, this is the place to be.
Seriously, I don’t have information about football or Oranje but I’ve got The Dutch Team & Me, In Your Loveliness, Kluud van Oranje and some hidden questions for the Dutch players which I would like to ask them in person. And how I wish the Dutch players read these articles! Maybe you can tell them about their greatest fan in Cameroon. Can you imagine that I have written two songs for Oranje!

Saviour of the World Ministry
Check out some Christian articles. I have a vision: the creation of a ministry called Saviour of the World. There are three things I believe all of us are called to do: believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, love one another as he commanded, and proclaim the Gospel which is Jesus Christ Saviour of the world. I am no super Christian but I’m conscious of what our destiny is. There is something that I believe, that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world. I don’t really know why it has occurred that it should be him and no other. But what is certain is that it is him and no other. Maybe you would not like to hear Christian or religion or something of that kind. I’m not talking about those but about somebody who has been given to each and every human being as their Saviour.
We all have a common destiny. One God created us and when we leave this world as all of us agree we shall, we are going to stand before him. What also we know is that our human nature is inclined to sin and that we have sinned from the beginning. We had been separated from our holy God because of sin. But our God who created us still loves us and he has sent his Son Jesus Christ to be our Saviour. We do have a Saviour who became one like us, who revealed the heart of God to us, who died for our sins and who rose from the dead for our justification. This isn’t religion, it’s acknowledging that we need a Saviour and believe in him.
In 2012, I've received a deeper revelation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The phrase 'as righteous as God' has changed my life forever. Now I know I was created to be fathered by God and become his son through Jesus Christ. I have known what grace is through the teachings of Dr. Shawn Smith of Gospel of Christ Ministries. I used to ask questions about he purpose of my life. Now I know why I live.
Man’s destiny is to be born on earth (that’s when he becomes man), to be fathered by God and become son of God. To be son of God means to be placed in Christ and Christ in you. The destiny of man is to give expression to God on earth; to be the vessel wherein God can be physically manifested on earth. The destiny of man is to be Christ. Christ is the fullness of the Godhead – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, living in a man. The future of Christ is to subdue all things and having subdued all things, God shall be all in all. That’s where true happiness lies.
Project: Album, Books, Movies
I have another project. I would like to release the songs I have written. I’m looking for people to help. If you can, please do. These songs carry a message of hope, of peace for mankind. I wrote some a long time ago and i continue writing. I've released an album: savior of the world. I’ve also got a film project. You won’t believe some exciting scenarios I have here. I’m also fan of cartoons. There’s an unbelievable story of all my cartoon heroes in one world. Stay connected and you'll get the best of me.

SEEKING HELP TO RELEASE FILMS
I would like somebody out there to help me make a television movie. I have written
stories which I would like to turn into films. Please, do help me and plead my case to people, structures, TV or associations, fellowships and companies.
I have written scripts on Jesus Christ as a modern boy. The originality is that Jesus, his disciples and those directly involved in the story are children. The story is a lengthening of some passages like that of the healing of the lame man.
I also have a story on a collection of cartoon heroes like Denver the last dinosaur, Batman, Captain Marvel, Rahan, Tarzan, Dragon Ball heroes, the transformers and many more. I also have a script on a boy, Orin and his friends who live in an ideal city. Something bad happens to Orin who moves out of the city. Outside the city, he gets into contact with people who are not like the people in his city. The second part of this story talks about the invasion of the good city by a warrior clan.
Let the stories which the Lord has given me be beautified and be appreciated by all through your help.

WHEN LIVING BECOMES AN EXPLOIT
They may have known days of relief, when the bitter memories disappear. They may have loved a beautiful song, enjoyed a delicious meal. They may have met someone special, lived a great love story. They may have entered into a deeper relationship with their maker. They surely may have known days of happiness again …
Though there are no ideals in the world, let your family be one for you. Keep on surviving for them. No matter what you might think, they are the ones who really love you. They are the only ones you’ve got in this world.
When the dark days come, the sadness and the anger overwhelm you. One thing remains on your mind: get rid of this body which produces such suffering.
Life is synonymous with happiness, joy, gladness. To be happy is not a privilege for human beings. We are actually ‘living’ when we are happy because it is the real nature of life. You can live a hundred years in this state without getting worried about the act of living. Some people are blessed with living these days. It is great grace to be always cheerful in your life.
Others are not thus. There are some people who find it hard to enjoy living. Some come into the world with a sad countenance. Some become gloomy as they grow up. Some isolate themselves, especially when they are highly sensitive to the functioning of the world around them. Some withdraw from society in rebellion to the ways of the world. Others lose their joy of living due to some sad events that come their way.
To these people, living has become a burden. The dark days are so frequent leading them to question the meaning of their existence. The bright days may be 99 but the one dark day is so dreary that you forget you had ever been happy in your life. It erases from your memory all the beauties you had ever cherished so that you are tempted to cause the irreparable damage.
I ask myself in the dark days: “How have I been able to live 26 years on earth when it is so hard to live?”
This article is for you. You who are often taken in these dark days: those days in which you feel of no importance to anybody; in which you feel guilty of the evil that happen to people; in which you think you are to blame for the negative events that occur in the world; in which you hate all people around you and feel they hate you too. For you whose dreams have been crushed, who loath your dreams that fell short of your expectations. For you whose hopes have disappointed, who have given up in your search for happiness.
I had my crisis in 1998 when I was 16. I felt to be the most evil person in the world. I numbered my sins and they were more than the sand on the shore. I was ashamed of them. I hated my family and believed they hated me too. I wanted to kill everybody and didn’t care anymore about the realisation of my dreams. Then I thought of putting an end to my miserable life.
There were about 12 of us in my family and the house was not always quiet. The building was overcrowded, the neighbourhood, full of noisy people. Yet I was a solitary being. I had no friends and rarely spoke to anyone except at school. Extremely quiet at home, I lived in my mind's eye. I imagined fantastic stories and was taken in a world of my own creation.
I was in Form Four and was certain to fail my exams. I thought my success at school was the only thing that made my family a little relieved of me. I considered that if I failed, my family would hate me completely. Apart from school, I could do nothing well. I went on nursing evil thoughts and these invaded my heart. I soon made a resolution and didn’t care about the consequences. Thus, all was set for my departure in 1998.
This is 2007. I thank God for saving my life. If I had left in 1998, I wouldn’t have seen the beauties of the year 2000. What a memorable time with my family! If I had gone earlier, I wouldn’t have known Don Moen’s and Paul Wilbur’s music, Rivers of Joy, Jerusalem Arise and Baruch Ha Ba which made me so joyful. I wouldn’t have seen the Olympic Games of 2000 and 2004 or the World Cups of ’98, ‘02 and ‘06. I wouldn’t have written songs to the Lord and known Him as He has been revealed to me these last years.
I am so grateful to God who did not allow me to take away my life in my ignorance, deceived by my thoughts. If I had left in 1998, I would have lost much and most important, would have caused tremendous suffering to my family.
I am writing for you who are passing through difficult moments right now; you who are in these dark days. You who are desperate about your situation. You who are angry with the people around you. You who feel nobody understands you. You who are undergoing a hard time and something mounts up in your mind as a solution.
Nobody Violence Nobody Suicide
Today, the dark days are even more frequent. I sometimes question God “Where is the abundant life you have come to give? All I see around is my misery. Yes, I am in Europe. I am an African in a European university. What a prestige! I have a room all for myself. I have all things I need. Everything is great materially. Thank you Lord.
“But now, say not that I am ungrateful but permit me to tell what I feel inside. I am terribly, deeply, profoundly SAD. In Cameroon I was sad and told you to bring me here for me to be happy. I promised I would do many things for you when I get here. Forgive me; I feel I can't because I hate this place. I hated Douala and today, I hate this city even more. I don’t care about good food, watching films, meeting the Dutch players, de Boer, van Nistelrooy… whom I have sought for 10 years. I don’t want to return to Douala, I don’t want to live in this place, I don’t want to go to school, I don’t care about anything. I hate this life. I don’t want to live. I don’t want to make any efforts. Set me free.”
One evening, I stood before the cross on a churchyard and wept for the pain. I felt that I was nothing, that I had nothing, that I knew nothing. All I could utter were the words of this song; I believe in the Lord, I believe in Jesus. I doubted the sincerity of my words but I trusted in my confession. I felt these nine words were all I could claim as mine in this world. This was all I had though with no faith, no works, no love.
And you will cry, cry and cry again till you are worn out. You will cry until your strength fails. You will cry so that you won’t sleep at night. You will cry all night so that you won’t wake up in the morning. You will cry so that you won’t get out of bed, so that you won’t eat.
Had I ever known living to be so difficult?
I can’t bear it. The sadness is piercing; it penetrates right into my heart. I am so sad. I can find no way out. God what is this? The solution is to get rid of this body so that the sadness may vanish. But my family, my family loves me. Do unto others what you want them to do unto you. I will not forgive if any commits such act. How could I do this to them? But why do they love me?
Look at me, see the evil in me. How can they love me who want to repay their good with evil? They did everything for me to further my studies in Europe so that I may succeed and ‘save’ them from poverty back at home. Now I don’t want to do anything in this place and I am scared of facing them. I don’t want to see their disappointment. Why do they place their hopes in me? I can't help them. I am nothing, I don’t know anything. Let them forget me and let me go to my place.
In 2003, I recounted my crisis of 1998 to one of my sisters and she was alarmed and utterd: "How could you ever think that we didn't love you?” Yet I had spent most of my childhood and teenage believing that they hated me; to the extent of considering something beyond repair.
I wrote this article after seeing a report on American soldiers who committed suicide after returning from the war in Iraq. One was 23, another was particularly handsome. I was still in my dark days yet I was grieved to see young people taking away their lives. I felt sorry for them though the day wasn’t bright for me. I had understood that the dark days, though may last for a night, for a day, a week, a month, a year, for years …, yet shall pass and the bright days shall come. As sure as the day comes after the night, so will the bright days come after the dark ones.
You who have been crushed by life, who don’t find your place anywhere in society, who see yourself on the sidelines, who feel that there is nothing again for you here on earth. You who think that all is finished for you, you who are lonely and feel nobody loves you, who have lost hope, who are desperate about your life; who are on the brink of suicide. You who are stranded in life with an impression of being caught in a trap; you didn’t ask to be here yet you are forced to bear with this hard-knock life.
Living is an exploit and we are all heroes.
I had a nightmare. I was in a church before the Blessed Sacrament. As I prayed, a horror fell on me. I heard an overwhelming voice rebuking me: “You say that you want to leave. Come now.” Fear seized me. I knew the voice had come to take me away. That was what I had asked for before I slept that night. I was afraid and started to cry saying: “No, I don’t want to go.” Then I woke up terribly frightened. I became scared of death. I rose up and prayed that I didn’t want to die anymore.
No matter how hard live has been afterwards, I had never wanted to die
Everybody’s suffering is unique in the world. Nobody can know what you are passing through. But as a companion, now passing through hard times, one who once had given credit to suicide, this message is for us. There is still hope, there is still a dream for us, we are called to do something great. We are called to be heroes.
What is your exploit?

We are living beings and have been created to live. Don’t question why it is so. This is what we are. It might be unfair, but that is what we are. Live, though it is so hard. Live again and again and again, for that is what you are, a living being. And this will be your exploit in the world.
Another certain fact is that one day we shall all leave this world. We all are pilgrims here. We could live two hundred years on earth, yet we shall one day depart. None of us was here two hundred years ago. Where were we when the things we read in history took place? I wasn’t here during Bob Marley’s time but here I am. I was not, now I am. After a time, I won’t be. Why then hasten the departure?
No one can create life; no one can bring back to life those who have died. This miracle is great. I live though I don’t know the mysteries thereof. I am certain Someone does know the reason of my life. It cannot be purposeless. I have been given this life; it is not of my own making. I won’t lift up my hand to it take away for I don’t know the power that lies therein.
I will endure, I will bear all things, I will survive, I will live and I will be a hero. Though life had been like a burden to me, I have accomplished an exploit. I am of the category you would call heroes. What is my exploit? I have lived.
I am writing in one of those dark days.
Live though you have no work; though you have no money; though people laugh at you; though you have no one to love; though you have no husband, no wife, no child; though you still depend on your parents; though your juniors overtake you; though you have failed; though you feel so bad inside. Live still. You are a hero because you keep on living, even in the face of such shame, humiliation and bitterness. Live still.

Though there are no ideals in the world, let your family be one for you. Keep on surviving for them. No matter what you might think, they are the ones who really love you. They are the only ones you’ve got in this world.
When the dark days come, the sadness and the anger overwhelm you. One thing remains on your mind: get rid of this body which produces such suffering.
Life is synonymous with happiness, joy, gladness. To be happy is not a privilege for human beings. We are actually ‘living’ when we are happy because it is the real nature of life. You can live a hundred years in this state without getting worried about the act of living. Some people are blessed with living these days. It is great grace to be always cheerful in your life.
Others are not thus. There are some people who find it hard to enjoy living. Some come into the world with a sad countenance. Some become gloomy as they grow up. Some isolate themselves, especially when they are highly sensitive to the functioning of the world around them. Some withdraw from society in rebellion to the ways of the world. Others lose their joy of living due to some sad events that come their way.
To these people, living has become a burden. The dark days are so frequent leading them to question the meaning of their existence. The bright days may be 99 but the one dark day is so dreary that you forget you had ever been happy in your life. It erases from your memory all the beauties you had ever cherished so that you are tempted to cause the irreparable damage.
I ask myself in the dark days: “How have I been able to live 26 years on earth when it is so hard to live?”
This article is for you. You who are often taken in these dark days: those days in which you feel of no importance to anybody; in which you feel guilty of the evil that happen to people; in which you think you are to blame for the negative events that occur in the world; in which you hate all people around you and feel they hate you too. For you whose dreams have been crushed, who loath your dreams that fell short of your expectations. For you whose hopes have disappointed, who have given up in your search for happiness.
I had my crisis in 1998 when I was 16. I felt to be the most evil person in the world. I numbered my sins and they were more than the sand on the shore. I was ashamed of them. I hated my family and believed they hated me too. I wanted to kill everybody and didn’t care anymore about the realisation of my dreams. Then I thought of putting an end to my miserable life.
There were about 12 of us in my family and the house was not always quiet. The building was overcrowded, the neighbourhood, full of noisy people. Yet I was a solitary being. I had no friends and rarely spoke to anyone except at school. Extremely quiet at home, I lived in my mind's eye. I imagined fantastic stories and was taken in a world of my own creation.
I was in Form Four and was certain to fail my exams. I thought my success at school was the only thing that made my family a little relieved of me. I considered that if I failed, my family would hate me completely. Apart from school, I could do nothing well. I went on nursing evil thoughts and these invaded my heart. I soon made a resolution and didn’t care about the consequences. Thus, all was set for my departure in 1998.
This is 2007. I thank God for saving my life. If I had left in 1998, I wouldn’t have seen the beauties of the year 2000. What a memorable time with my family! If I had gone earlier, I wouldn’t have known Don Moen’s and Paul Wilbur’s music, Rivers of Joy, Jerusalem Arise and Baruch Ha Ba which made me so joyful. I wouldn’t have seen the Olympic Games of 2000 and 2004 or the World Cups of ’98, ‘02 and ‘06. I wouldn’t have written songs to the Lord and known Him as He has been revealed to me these last years.
I am so grateful to God who did not allow me to take away my life in my ignorance, deceived by my thoughts. If I had left in 1998, I would have lost much and most important, would have caused tremendous suffering to my family.
I am writing for you who are passing through difficult moments right now; you who are in these dark days. You who are desperate about your situation. You who are angry with the people around you. You who feel nobody understands you. You who are undergoing a hard time and something mounts up in your mind as a solution.
Nobody Violence Nobody Suicide
Today, the dark days are even more frequent. I sometimes question God “Where is the abundant life you have come to give? All I see around is my misery. Yes, I am in Europe. I am an African in a European university. What a prestige! I have a room all for myself. I have all things I need. Everything is great materially. Thank you Lord.
“But now, say not that I am ungrateful but permit me to tell what I feel inside. I am terribly, deeply, profoundly SAD. In Cameroon I was sad and told you to bring me here for me to be happy. I promised I would do many things for you when I get here. Forgive me; I feel I can't because I hate this place. I hated Douala and today, I hate this city even more. I don’t care about good food, watching films, meeting the Dutch players, de Boer, van Nistelrooy… whom I have sought for 10 years. I don’t want to return to Douala, I don’t want to live in this place, I don’t want to go to school, I don’t care about anything. I hate this life. I don’t want to live. I don’t want to make any efforts. Set me free.”
One evening, I stood before the cross on a churchyard and wept for the pain. I felt that I was nothing, that I had nothing, that I knew nothing. All I could utter were the words of this song; I believe in the Lord, I believe in Jesus. I doubted the sincerity of my words but I trusted in my confession. I felt these nine words were all I could claim as mine in this world. This was all I had though with no faith, no works, no love.
And you will cry, cry and cry again till you are worn out. You will cry until your strength fails. You will cry so that you won’t sleep at night. You will cry all night so that you won’t wake up in the morning. You will cry so that you won’t get out of bed, so that you won’t eat.
Had I ever known living to be so difficult?
I can’t bear it. The sadness is piercing; it penetrates right into my heart. I am so sad. I can find no way out. God what is this? The solution is to get rid of this body so that the sadness may vanish. But my family, my family loves me. Do unto others what you want them to do unto you. I will not forgive if any commits such act. How could I do this to them? But why do they love me?
Look at me, see the evil in me. How can they love me who want to repay their good with evil? They did everything for me to further my studies in Europe so that I may succeed and ‘save’ them from poverty back at home. Now I don’t want to do anything in this place and I am scared of facing them. I don’t want to see their disappointment. Why do they place their hopes in me? I can't help them. I am nothing, I don’t know anything. Let them forget me and let me go to my place.
In 2003, I recounted my crisis of 1998 to one of my sisters and she was alarmed and utterd: "How could you ever think that we didn't love you?” Yet I had spent most of my childhood and teenage believing that they hated me; to the extent of considering something beyond repair.
I wrote this article after seeing a report on American soldiers who committed suicide after returning from the war in Iraq. One was 23, another was particularly handsome. I was still in my dark days yet I was grieved to see young people taking away their lives. I felt sorry for them though the day wasn’t bright for me. I had understood that the dark days, though may last for a night, for a day, a week, a month, a year, for years …, yet shall pass and the bright days shall come. As sure as the day comes after the night, so will the bright days come after the dark ones.
You who have been crushed by life, who don’t find your place anywhere in society, who see yourself on the sidelines, who feel that there is nothing again for you here on earth. You who think that all is finished for you, you who are lonely and feel nobody loves you, who have lost hope, who are desperate about your life; who are on the brink of suicide. You who are stranded in life with an impression of being caught in a trap; you didn’t ask to be here yet you are forced to bear with this hard-knock life.
Living is an exploit and we are all heroes.
I had a nightmare. I was in a church before the Blessed Sacrament. As I prayed, a horror fell on me. I heard an overwhelming voice rebuking me: “You say that you want to leave. Come now.” Fear seized me. I knew the voice had come to take me away. That was what I had asked for before I slept that night. I was afraid and started to cry saying: “No, I don’t want to go.” Then I woke up terribly frightened. I became scared of death. I rose up and prayed that I didn’t want to die anymore.
No matter how hard live has been afterwards, I had never wanted to die
Everybody’s suffering is unique in the world. Nobody can know what you are passing through. But as a companion, now passing through hard times, one who once had given credit to suicide, this message is for us. There is still hope, there is still a dream for us, we are called to do something great. We are called to be heroes.
